Book Art: The Story of More (Adapted for Young Adults)
Just a quick Book Art post for a good, quick read! The Story of More is by Hope Jahren. I found this book in a Little Free Library outside a candy shop. This Little Free Library has a pollinator garden around it and has almost all non-fiction books about the environment. This book piqued my interest and I’m glad I read it! It was a very real look at the damage we’ve been doing to our planet and our responsibility to do what we can to help heal our environment; and though it is factual and eye-opening, it is also a hopeful and entertaining read!
It’s a pretty short and easy read, but packs a lot of information in its five sections. The sections are: Life, Energy, Food, and Earth, plus an appendix. For my illustration I made a quick doodle page featuring the four main chapter titles and images relating to each of them, with a gold chain interlaced with a vine connecting each of the words. I used pen and watercolor pencils.
