I have always loved dreamcatchers and their history in Native American folklore. I’ve had them hanging in my bedroom since I was a small child and started making them myself when I was young. The net in the hoop represents a spider’s web, and the bead on it represents the spider. One version of the meaning of Dreamcatchers is that the web catches all your dreams and keeps away all the nightmares, while the good dreams trickle down through the feathers and other decorations hanging down. Dreamcatchers have always helped me have good dreams, and I truly believe in their calming nature! I’ve written a blog post with more information about Dreamcatchers’ origins and my connection to them. You can read that here:
